Tribe starts today with the match up with CCSU, winner of the NEC last year and participant in the NCAA tourney. Game at Plumeri. BC follows on Saturday and Sacred Heart on Sunday.

Why is the game not on Flo?

I wonder if it's technically seen as a neutral site game, since it's part of a tournament, and thus isn't covered by the Flo deal?

None of the Tribe OOC home games are on Flo this season, nor being broadcast through the Tribe site, as in past seasons. Their swap games at VCU and Richmond this weekend are on ESPN+. Grrrrr.....

This is CCSU's first game of the year.

According to social media, we are up 6-3 on CCSU in the bottom of the 6th. Go Tribe!

Tribe up 8-3 going into the bottom of the 8th.

Richmond lost to BC today 7-2. VCU up 6-2 on Sacred Heart in the bottom of the 8th.

Looks like the rain will be gone by the Tribe's 4pm slot with BC tomorrow.

A win against BC tomorrow would be a nice upset and could possibly push the Tribe into the top 25 of the NCBWA poll

Tribe and BC tied 6-6 going into the bottom of the 5th. Interdona walked 5 batters, gave up a double steal and threw 51 pitches over the last two innings. Will be interesting to see if the pitching change is finally made to start the 6th.

Tribe up 7-6 to end the 5th. Tribe has got to start making BC earn their baserunners. Lovasz to the mound.

BC takes 8-7 lead going into the bottom of the 6th. Tribe batters will have to win this game.

BC wins 9-7.

Tribe was up 6-2 after 2 innings but gave up 2 unearned runs in the 3rd after two outs.

Tribe go scoreless over the last 4 innings, lose 9-7.

Yeah, the articles talk about how great the Tribe’s ERA is….but of course ERA does not take into account the TON of unearned runs that the Tribe has already given up this year.

Lost 6-5 to previously winless Sacred Heart. Looks like they scored in the top of the ninth to break the tie.

Long season. Their hitting isn't where it needs to be right now and usually pitching beats hitting in cold weather.

We’ve scored 93 runs in 11 games. That’s about 8.5 runs a game. In one of our losses we scored 7 runs and today we scored 5. To me, our defense is suspect (too many unearned runs) and so are certain pitchers. Lovasz has pitched poorly in at least two games and Knowles, while pitching well, hasn’t gone deep enough into games (expending too many pitches striking out people…although with the defense behind him I guess that I can’t blame him). Anyway, with that run production, I don’t think you can blame the hitters. It is usually the pitchers who start slow, anyway. Plus, we are 8-3 …….

VCU beat BC today, 10-1. Richmond beat CCSU, 13-3.

Yeah on paper we should have definitely beat both of them. Hopefully some changes can be made before ODU.

Other than BC and Richmond the competition has been lousy. We are hitting just under .300 which is great, but we can do better and need to against in conference competition.
